On February 19, 2013, HSBC and Bancolombia signed an agreement for the acquisition of a 100% stake in the ordinary share capital of HSBC Bank (Panama) S.A. and another 90.1% stake in its preferential share capital. We are now pleased to announce that we have received all the required regulatory approvals and authorizations so as to be able to conclude this acquisition.
As a result, all of our Panamanian operations shall adopt the Banistmo brand that enjoys the sound backing of Bancolombia, a Latin American financial institution that was first founded 138 years ago. Its presence extends to a total of 10 countries in Latin America, with 40 thousand employees attending the needs of more than 9 million clients. It is above all a company with a clear dedication to service and is firmly committed to furthering the development of all those communities where we are present.
Bancolombia is currently the only Colombian financial institution listed with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and forms part of a group of 26 banks worldwide that are listed with the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, tracking the sustainability performance of global benchmark companies. All this allows us to look forward to a better and brighter future while creating added value for our stakeholders.

Banistmo, the Bancolombia Group´s newest bank shall continue to uphold the same business standards as before and offer the same service channels and technological and operating platforms.
At Banistmo we continue to strive to provide you with the best possible assistance and advice. For this reason it is important to note that no changes shall be made to the current terms and conditions of your products, including interest rates, terms, commissions, minimum amounts for opening accounts, limits for withdrawing cash, transfers, policies, etc.
Please bear in mind the following information:
Account and loan numbers:
There shall be no changes made to the numbers of your current, savings and fixed-term accounts as well as (personal, mortgage and car), and therefore you may continue to use these for your day-to-day transactions.
Checks bearing the HSBC name shall continue to be accepted and paid based on the same terms and conditions as before.
Debit and credit cards:
•Initially, the HSBC debit and credit cards shall continue to be used; however we have begun to replace these free of charge and therefore shall be contacting you in due course.
•As for credit cards, Banistmo shall continue with its Regalate Rewards Program as well as the shared brand of credit card (Mileage Plus with United Airlines) so that you may continue to earn points and miles based on the same terms and conditions as before. Banistmo shall accept all points and miles thus earned and clients may redeem these as stipulated in the guidelines established for the respective programs or products.
In order for international transfers of dollars from a foreign bank to be deposited in your account, these must be sent via BANK OF AMERICA N.A in keeping with the following instructions:
